What would you consider a civilization?

I believe a civilization must consist of a group of people living together in a complex society. In my opinion, it should have cities where people gather, some form of organized leadership or government, and different social classes. I think it's important for a civilization to have ways to communicate, like writing, and to make progress in things like art and science. From what I understand, civilizations also need to have their own economic systems, unique cultural practices, and some level of technological advancement. However, I'm not entirely sure about all of this and would be interested to learn more about what defines a civilization.
